hmqe2Actually, that’s an American translation of the British original: A 44-year-old single mom stole 70,000 pounds from “the Dole,” but a court has ordered her to repay only 14 pounds a week, given her income, which consists solely of government money.

Well, sort of.

Wilton, of Southsea, Hampshire, claimed income support, housing benefit and council tax benefit on the basis she was single mother supporting three young children.

In reality, she was living with her partner, who was the father of her three children, and was also in full-time employment.

Oopsie. She probably just forgot about him, which, if the Octo-Mom is any indication, is very easy to do.

Just so long as someone — whether the taxpayer or your mom — is paying the bills.
